Alex- (enters the city, bags in tow) Well, here we are.

Jamie- Yep.

(Pause)

Jamie- How do we get to the ACM offices?

Alex- By a bus.

Jamie- Okaaaaaaay… (Pause) Where’s our bus.

Alex- Ummm….

(They both looks left. They both look right. They look left again.)

Alex- I think it’s this way. (Points left)

Jamie- Why that way?

Alex- I gotta feeling.

Jamie- Hmmm…

Alex- Now don’t talk to anyone. People here will put on an act- ya know, offer you information and then demand payment for it. Don’t fall for it.

(They walk left, heaving their bags with them.)

(A Black Man approaches them.)

Black Man- ‘Ey man, what bus you lookin’ for?

(Alex turns his head away from the Black Man. Jamie looks at Alex.)

Black Man- ‘Ey. ‘Ey, yo. Man. What bus you lookin’ for? The MegaBus? You lookin’ for the MegaBus?

(Alex turns his head even farther away from the Black Man. Jamie looks at the Black Man.)

Black Man- ‘EY! YOOO!!! HEELLLOOOOO!!! DO YOU SPEAK ENGLISH! I AM TALK-ING TO YOU!!! ARE. YOU. LOOK. ING. FOR. THE. MEGA. BUS???

Jamie- Uh… What’s MegaBus?

Black Man- Thank you! Man! I’m just out here tryin’ to help people get on tha bus! This man right here obviously knows how to speak English!

(Black Man turns to Jamie and speaks to him)

Black Man- MegaBus will take you wherever you wanna go. Cheap and Easy. No problems. You just get in line with everyone else. Aight, man?

Jamie- Alright, thanks man.

Black Man- Damn.

(Black Man exits.)

(Jamie looks at Alex.)

Alex- Does this make me racist?
